Since the foundation of Lawton in 1947 the name Lawton has become known worldwide for its excellent reputation, outstanding quality, reliability and service.

Founded by the brothers Herbert and Leslie Lawton in Frankfurt a. M.

1952
Headquarter moved to Tuttlingen.

1967
Bought by Alcon/USA.

1973
Sold from Alcon to Dart Industries/USA.

1977
A group of well-known german manufacturers bought Lawton. The production moved to the own buildings in Fridingen.

1983
Headquarter moved in new, bigger buildings.

1994
The production moved into a new plant in Fridingen.

1996
Implementation of a quality management system certified as per DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN 46001 and 93/42/EWG.

2000
Headquarter and factory moved together in a bigger building in Fridingen.
